Juneteenth 2023 Woburn

On Saturday, June 17, the Woburn Democratic City Committee joined several area organizations at Library Field for the 3rd annual Juneteenth Woburn.  Social Capital Inc. (SCI) led the organizational effort along with the City of Woburn, Woburn Public Library, St. John’s Baptist Church, and several other local organizations.

We were excited to welcome Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell as keynote speaker for this event, and despite the challenging rainy conditions, many Woburn Democrats helped us welcome her to Woburn!  The event included a panel discussion, student performances, community tables, food and music, and new this year was a concert from 4-7pm.  There were artist exhibits in the Woburn Public Library as well as a children’s story time.

The WDCC had an informational table at the event staffed by volunteers representing our committee.  For more information about Juneteenth Woburn 2023 including the schedule of events, visit SCI’s Juneteenth website.
