About Our Committee

The WDCC is a “Big Tent” committee that works to elect Democrats at the local, state, and national level, while advocating for public policies that are important to the City, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and our country. One of the main goals of our growing Committee is to encourage voter engagement in the community, educate individuals on their candidates and important issues, and promote voter registration. The MA Dems Charter, which discusses the role of the Ward and Town committees, can be found at the bottom of this page.

The Woburn Democrats meet quarterly where we invite candidates, elected officials, and advocates to educate and inform members of our community about who their representatives are and the policies they advocate for. The Committee organizes candidates forums, social events, and get out the vote efforts to advance Democratic Party candidates locally, statewide, and in neighboring swing states.

In addition to our Citywide Committee, we have active Ward Committees in each of Woburn’s seven Wards. Our Ward Committee members make up the City Committee, and we work at ward and city level together. Click here to learn who your Ward Chair is how you can contact them.

To better engage members of our community and the Committee, the Woburn Democrats recently launched our subcommittees to help spread the word about the candidates running the important issues being voted on, work on voter registration and community outreach, along with managing the WDCC’s communications. Below is a list of our 4 subcommittees and their respective Chairs for those interesting in joining:
