Woburn Delegates to the 2024 State Convention
The Woburn Democratic City Committee will hold our annual caucus to elect Delegates and Alternates to the 2024 State Democratic Convention on Saturday, March 16 at 9:30a.m. at the American Legion, 194 Lexington Street, Woburn. Doors will open at 9a.m. and all Woburn Democrats or those wishing to register as Democrat by our caucus time are welcome to participate – please note that registration closes at 9:45a.m.
Each Ward will hold a caucus to elect Delegates and Alternates. Each of Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 7 will elect 4 Delegates and Alternates and Ward 6 will elect 3 Delegates and Alternates. Those who are aged 16 by February 15, 2024 and are pre-registered to vote as Democrat may also participate (please bring a copy of your voter registration receipt). The 2024 State Convention will be held at the DCU Center in Worcester on Saturday, June 1, 2024. This is a nominating convention where Delegates will nominate a candidate for Senate. Youth (age 16-35), people with disabilities, people of color, veterans, and members of the LGBTQ+ community not elected as delegates or alternates during the caucus are encouraged to apply to be add-on delegates at the caucus or by visiting massdems.org/massdems-convention (as of the time of this newsletter the application is not yet available).
Immediately following the adjournment of the caucus, the WDCC will reconvene for a brief business meeting.
