Happy New Year! 2024 will be busy!

I hope everyone had a great winter holiday season! 2024 is here and it will be one of the most important years in American history! We’ll be sharing information on how to get involved with the Biden re-election effort throughout the year. We also have our caucus to elect delegates to the state convention coming up, as well as the March 5th election of our Ward Committees and our April Organization Meeting. The caucus window of dates and the caucus rules haven’t been announced yet, but we anticipate they will be soon. We’ll be looking to hold our caucus after February school vacation.

Board of Registrars of Voters Vacancy

The Chair of the WDCC was notified of a vacancy for on the Woburn Board of Registrars of Voters. The Chair is able to nominate Woburn Democrats interested in serving on the Board. For more information or to express interest, please email woburndems@gmail.com by February 1st, 2024.

Return your City Census Form

You should have received your annual City Census in the mail recently – don’t delay! Return your census form, even if there are no changes, to make sure the voters in your household stay on the active voter list!

Biden volunteer opportunities

Write In Biden, NH Grassroots Campaign!
The effort is underway to help President Biden and VP Harris win the New Hampshire Primary as write-ins! There is still time to sign up to help and we have several people from Woburn in on the effort – join us!

Woburn Canvassing Volunteer Opportunity

We’d like to organize some canvasses of Woburn Democrats to share volunteer opportunities and let neighbors know that we have an active and engaged group of neighbors working to elect leaders that represent their values! To volunteer to participate in a canvass in your neighborhood or to learn more, email woburndems@gmail.com. Ward 2 has a canvass planned for Saturday, January 20.

Ward Committees Election

We are excited to have many, many returning committee members and several new nominees on the upcoming ballot! Tell your family and neighbors to vote for you on the Democratic Presidential Primary ballot in March!

Following the March 5 election, we will hold a meeting of the City Committee and Ward Committees on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 9:30AM at the American Legion, 194 Lexington Street. Nominations for officers for City Committee and Ward Committees can be made in advance of or during the Organization Meeting. We will advertise vacancies in the March newsletter.
